Shaggy heard the runt's quiet comment, and shot him a grin.

"Thanks to you," he said, giving Koyle a friendly clap on the shoulder--which he duly flinched away from. "So I guess we should start talking reward."

That was more like it. Koyle had been idly wondering what his cut might be, and what he would do with it. Relieved that he wasn't about to be enveloped in a group hug, it took a while for Koyle to notice that the phreaks' excited din had died off rather quickly. On the double-take, he noticed a tight, uneasy air had replaced the earlier ebullience as the youth spread out in a ring. Then he noticed Shaggy's blaster was poking about five inches from his ribs...

"We don't mean anything by it, frood, really. It's nothing personal. In fact, we owe you. But we just can't let this happen again."

Koyle looked around to find the best part of twelve blaster barrels now bristling in his direction. Only Sear and Midge had opted not to menace the Verpine, and appeared very distressed with the prevailing plan. Cryo was getting his little piece of payback though, and Brackish was grinning wildly. The doublecross obviously appealed to him. Shaggy continued.

"We've learned our lesson, Koyle. We need all the change to make sure the shop is secure, so we don't get strung up by Daye and Flynn ever again. 90,000... With all our debts gone and that sort of space, the Komp Dun will be safe forever!"

A loud cheer at this point. Shaggy met Koyle's gaze evenly, determined to assure him of his good intentions.

"So we're thinking, payment in kind? You need gear, or parts, or anything, we'll get them to you anywhere in the galaxy. At a loss, frood!" Shaggy grimaced. "We feel bad about cutting you out. But it's something we gotta do, Koyle. And you don't lose! Don't make this any harder than it has to be..."
