Adonis’ biggest irritation was not the hunter-killer chasing her and Gessepe, or even whoever had sent it, but was a far more mundane, petty group that irritated her most: the other tourists, who were panicking despite the fact that they were clearly not the droid’s target. They would be free of danger in mere moments, and yet they were screaming as though they were in the process of dying. They’re in more danger every time they take a hover-car trip, Adonis thought with irritation; she wasn’t panicked, and the thing wanted her dead, so what right did those who weren’t at serious risk have to scream? She doubted they even realized that she had saved them from the real danger moments before. Besides being complete cowards, several members of the group were also rude, incompetent, or both. The Bothans demanded release–no doubt so they could make things even worse, since they didn’t have the sense to stay put– while the trouble-making duo rooted for her attacker. Adonis set her jaw, and promised herself that, if the opportunity arose, that pair would learn to regret that comment; she doubted they had any idea how big a mistake it was to make her angry, but hoped to be able to demonstrate to them exactly that. She had time to think about that while Gessepe raced deftly through the other surge boats and into clear water. Unfortunately, that guaranteed the hunter-killer would find them but, as that would have happened anyway, there was little reason to worry about that. Either way, the annoying onlookers were soon behind her, while the droid vectored in for what might well be an attack run, although it wasn’t yet an explosion attempt, thankfully. Not that Adonis could do much about it at the moment; her blaster was of little use, and she needed to hold off on the second lance until she was sure she needed to use it–it was her back-up plan, and once it was gone, she was entirely reliant upon Ouphil; she trusted the Whipid, but didn’t want to be defenseless. So, for the moment, her blaster would have to do. She raised the weapon and fired a quick shot, aiming for the eye of the droid, and hoping she could do damage without accidentally setting the explosives off. She also wished that the blaster had a larger clip, and that she could just get some peace and quiet. Adonis was, unfortunately, well aware of how often wishes really come true. ((Shooting here! Called shot to the “eye,” if its closed within moderate range, at least. Otherwise, just shooting at the droid in general.))
