Blasted Sllebites! Koyle swore mentally as the Vodran footsteps grew closer. He might have finished off any hope they had of populating another planet, but he couldn't ever hope to have his full revenge for what they did to his leg. Especially not if he kept getting into situations such as the current Vodran trap. Spinning around suddenly, Koyle was able to draw and fire before his first target could even react. Little more than a grunt resulted, though, so the little Verpine had to return the favor by ducking under a clumsy swat. Even as the arm flew over his head, Koyle was bringing his blaster up for the second shot. This one found its mark, but proved largely infeffectual as well. Where Koyle's shot simply forced a grunt, the Vodran's counterattack did considerably more. The lackey's fist smacked the underside of Koyle's jaw, sending him reeling to the ground, but largely unphased thanks to his hard chitinous plating. There was a reason why the evolutionary machine had given it to his race. Laying on his back, Koyle had few options left, but he did have a considerable amount of rage, which was equal, if not greater, compensation. All he had wanted to do was have a nice evening and get more than a little drunk, perhaps even get in a friendly barroom brawl. Instead, he got a pack of Vodrans who were intent upon ruining everything. At that point, Koyle recognized that he had only one choice. He would have to put both of these Vodrans out of commission. Raising his blaster, the little Verpine aimed for the nearest Vodran's face. If he could land a good shot, it could do some serious damage and hopefully provide enough of a psychological shock to his companion that Koyle would have a chance to dodge any more incoming attacks. As he pulled the trigger, the little Verpine looked into his target's eyes and hoped that they wouldn't exist anymore after the next few seconds. OOC: Called shot to the face!
